To avoid the Purple Monsters, you just need to make sure you watch the vents. If you don't see any eyes or hands crawling out, you can safely pass by. Tips: Pay close attention to the sounds in the game. Many of the strategies for evading the rainbow monsters involve listening for footsteps and other noises that indicate their proximity!
